Responsibilities
As a Student Activities Rep, you will be responsible for:
What To Expect
Below is what activity you could on a busy week. The position really relies on the Rep’s own drive and ideas to shape the role – your week could be very different in reality!
Monday
Meet up with my category group over a pint. Everyone seems narked by having more classes scheduled on Wednesdays. Started planning for a great joint event though – The Dance- Off Challenge!
Tuesday
Go to Student Voice meeting where there’s a motion on campus lighting on the agenda. Speak up to give my group’s views. No one likes leaving HUMSS in the dark at 10.00pm after a rehearsal!
Wednesday
Meet with some volunteers to plan the Dance-Off and decide who will do what job. I’m in charge of marketing so I’ve arranged to meet with the student media to promote the event.
Thursday
Dropped in on the VP Student Activities for a chat at lunch. They’re interested in the Wednesday afternoons issues so I get them to send round a Facebook message to see if this is a wide spread problem across campus and chase it up with the university.
Friday
Meet up with the RUSU Student Activities team and other reps to feedback from my meeting on Monday. Other reps want to get involved in the Dance-Off now too! This is going to be massive!
